Monday, November 10, 2008

A (salesletter) landing page consist of three main parts:

  1. layout,
  2. description,
  3. pictures.
Layout
We are using the long , single page format. Various templates can be adopted. Since one is not necessary better than the other, hence we only need few standard templates, i.e. template 1, template 2, template 3. This example shows how different parts are connected.

Text Description
Besides finish the content of the LOB sites, we also need the landing page for each campaign. Although we are to design the landing page with a unique message per campaign. But the bulk of the landing page do not change from campaign to campaign. In any sales letter, we can devide the content into two parts: generic and LOB specific items. The generic contents are reletively ubiquitous and independent from lines of business.

generic items
  1. Catch phrases
  2. Expert Endorsements
  3. Customer Testimonials
  4. Good Deals
  5. Goodies
  6. Assurances
  7. Postscripts
business specific items:
  1. Who can benefit
  2. What are the benefits
  3. Solution/Product
  4. Advantages/Value
